About Us

Stayput Flower Supports (kenzans) have been hand made in Australia since the early 20th century. They are believed to have been made in Melbourne in the late 1920's through to the 1970's when the company moved to Wagga Wagg in New South Wales.  In 2001 the business was purchased by its largest retailer and moved to the Blue Mountains in New south Wales, where 'Stayputs' are still hand made and distributed throughout Australasia.

New research into the manufacturing process was undertaken in 2003 after advice from Ikebana practitioners, leading to the use of a harder alloy base, which grips the pins more tightly whilst retaining the required heavy weight.  The pins are made in Sydney from 75% hardened brass wire, which resists bending under heavy use.

'Stayputs' are made from 100% Australian materials; are hand made in Australia and are therefore truly and proudly  'Australian Made'.
